I want to grow old with you ...

I want to be able to do this as I'm growing older ...
When a woman and man say 'I do' at their marriage, it is a sacred commitment of their relationship.
Sad things, people can say it easily without considering what is the deal behind their words.
Listening to a sweet sincere love expression from a husband towards his wife, has changed it.
When the husband said 'Honey, I love you' in front of many people, it really touched my heart.

I want to get married...
I want a husband who knows what is the true meaning of marriage.
I want a husband who is committed.
I want a husband who is able to enjoy this life together... living this life to the fullest. : )

Spring is IN yo! No coats, no tall boots... Dresses and mini skirts are takin over!
As I was looking at shift dresses, I found this great deal!
Tracy Feith was set to design for Target.
The items would be in stores in May 17.
For this season, Tracy Feith is offering sweet vintage 60s shift dresses.
I saw the sneak peek of the designs, and I think they all look sophisticated!
Of course, this would be hot stuffs.... much cheaper price and great designer!
I really like the mixture of their colors and the combination of modern and 60s.
It is just A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E. : )

Something Behind Accesories

Thanks to my dear friend who has given me this adorable silk lotus pendant bracelet.
As I opened the note, there's a beautiful message explaining the meaning behind it.

It says...
'For a long time in many East Asian countries like Japan and also Vietnam, silk represents a woman's charm, beauty, and figure. And lotus, for all Greek civilization, has been a symbol for kalokagathia - that is the prime youth, a perfect physical and mental exquisiteness, it has the highest of potential and allure.'

This might be a simple looking bracelet, but it is made with some sort creative historical meaning.
I really love the softness of the silk color.
It represents feminism, which reminds me that I'm already 21 years old, thus, I should act like a mature young lady. : )

Tough Girl Look?

It seems that fashion trends are more towards 'tough-girl-look' nowadays.
Black leather leggings, black studded motorbike heels, and black studded leather belt are really IN.
Leather and studs are my 2 favorite things now.
I always adore a designer who could combine tough girl and sophisticated look very well.
Leather with metalic outfits would be one of the great combinations
However, I also like the combination of leather leggings with armor warrior outfits.
It look much fierce but this fashion alert is just stunning!
Well, I just ordered a pair of liquid zipper legging from shopbop.com and it already arrived!

Surprisingly, it is so comfortable to wear, no annoying leathery noise when you are walking. : )
I will definitely keep this!
When I tried to pair this up with some clothes and shoes, this leggings can definitely be combined with both casual/dressy tops.
I am so excited to wear it tomorrow.
I will wear this with oversized navy blue cardigan, open-toe strap black patent heels, and of course some accesories. : )))

I found this philosophical statement on a forum. The metaphor that the author was using to convey the meaning is quite interesting.

"The fish trap exists because of the fish. Once you've gotten the fish you can forget the trap. The rabbit snare exists because of the rabbit. Once you've gotten the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words exist because of meaning. Once you've gotten the meaning, you can forget the words. Where can I find a man who has forgotten words so I can talk with him?"

Carlo's Cucina Italiana

I often passed by this restaurant, and I did not pay much attention.
I would say that it wasn't quite appealing from the outside.
I honestly thought that it was another Asian restaurant as it was located amongst them.
One day, my friend brought me there for lunch.
Well, I agree with a statement saying, "Don't judge the book by its cover."
As I stepped inside, the decoration and the ambience were like a real traditional italian restaurant in Italy.
I even noticed that most of the people eating there are Italian families, or even couples.
This mom and pop restaurant is giving me the impression on the taste of home traditional Italian recipe.

Like typical Italian restaurant, they always give Italian bread, with olive oil.
As I touched the bread, I could feel that it was freshly baked from the oven.
The sound of its crisp was heared as I started my first bite and then, I could taste the softness of the inside.
That's how an Italian loaf should taste!
For the entree, I ordered Linguine Calamari, with white wine sauce.
They also serve daily specials.
I think the lunch is totally worth it!
The price range is $9.00 till $20.00.
Of course, they also serve other menu, not only pasta.

On 'feel-like-spring' Sunday afternoon, it was the second time I had a delicious pasta feast at Carlo's Cucina Italiana.
This time, I ordered pasta of the day.
I don't know the exact name, but it was linguine with Haddock fish, clams, mussels, and sun-dried tomatoes sauce.
All I could say it was MAMAMIAAAAAAA.... : )

I would definitely be coming back again!

My Current Hairstyle

Love, love, love my new hairstyle.
When it comes to haircut, I put my 100% trust to Claudia Acevedo, a supa-dupa talented hairstylist in Marc and Harris, Boston (Newbury Street).
I have been going back and forth to her since 3 years ago.
After I found her, I've become so particular about my hairstylist.
I've tried finding new hairstylists several times before, but my heart still keeps coming back to Claudia. : )
I think having a haircut with her is such an investment.
Perhaps, right after she cuts your hair, you would find a quite extreme change on your hair.
I would say her style tends to be a glam-rock type.
However, as my hair is getting longer, the hairstyle is getting even better.
My last haircut before the current one was 6 months ago, but my hairstyle was actually still in a good neat shape.
But, I was so bored with the style so I need some change. : )
So... I would highly recommend Claudia Acevedo when you want to get a haircut.
It's worth it!

Top of Shoes List: Strappy Sandals

When it comes to strappy shoes, Azzedine Alaia would be my all time fave designer.
I have been admiring his designs since last year.
The first design that really caught my eyes was his Fall 2008 collection.
His phyton strappy stilettos are well-made with little tiny bells attached.
It was such the most exuberant strappey shoes that I've ever seen.
Of course, you won't see this shoes being worn in casual daily life.
It only happened in runway, or red-carpet.

As strappy shoes are in-trends nowadays, many designers modified the basic.
Now, I love studded strappy shoes.
Manolo Blahnik has a stunning one.
I think this pair of shoes would be so flattering when it's combined with black leather mini skirt, plain white deep V-neck T-shirt, and black boyfriend blazer. : )

Yee...haaa!!!!

I'm drooling for Cabot's The Great Pyramid Sundae

As I was having my late-night dessert at Cabot's, I couldn't take my eyes off of this gorgeous huge pyramid of ice-cream scoops.
It costs 200ish US dollar.
I'm amazed...
I was thinking to buy it for myself, my ice-cream supplies for a year.
I imagined myself having it while I was watching movies at home.
What a life!
I know right, it seems that I'm contradicting myself by telling my desire to buy this humongous ice cream and telling my 21st b'day wish in the previous blog.
But, don't you think it's so eye catching? hahaha...
Anyway, I then asked the waitress about how long this ice cream could be kept in the fridge.
She looked all confused and 'amazed' by my question, and then, she went to the owner.
The owner then asked me over the counter and all of the employees stopped whatever they were doing.
It turned out both of the waitress and the owner did not understand my question.
They must be assuming that this pyramid would be always finished by a big party of ice-cream lovers.
Then, I rephrased my question.
How long can I keep this ice cream if there's leftover after party? (Of coz, I won't say that I would eat this for myself)
Then she said, it could last till 6months to 1 year as long as I cover it tightly with plastic wrap.

Hmmm...Should I buy it?! ; p

Most Wanted Body

When it comes to Most Wanted Body, the nominee goes to JessicaS.
Yes, there are two JessicaS, Ms. Alba and Ms. Biel.
Not they only have flawless skin, and gorgeous face, they really have a hot healthy body that most girls would die for.
In my 21st burfday, one of my wishes is to have a good healthy body.
Well, to be honest, that wish had been always my wishes in the past years.
Frankly, my diet program did not hit the target.
Oh well... New year, new hope, new diet program .... Or should I call it new eating habit. >.<
Here is Jessica Alba diet secret: Maybe I should follow...

  • "Her secret is portion control," says Braganza. "She likes to have dinner out, but will only eat half of the food on the plate."
  • A pro in the kitchen, Jessica loves to cook dishes like egg-white omelets, salads, healthy enchiladas and waffles - and drinks two to three liters of water a day.
  • Jessica does cardio religiously (on the elliptical, stationary bike or treadmill for 30 minutes, four times a week). But when she's preparing for an action role, she'll likely add weights and yoga to tone up. "I like circuit training," she tells InTouch, because it keeps her from getting bored.
May my wish is fulfilled! : )

NY Street Fashion (Fall 2009)

As I was trying to find some new inspiration for fashion, I checked out my fashion bible, NYMag.
As usual, I always check out the Fashion Tab, and their latest collection that had been presented during the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.
Of course, the first brand that I checked was Dsquared2, my all time favorite designer.
Their casual, yet extraordinary street look was inspiring and detailed.
The leather, and fur jackets, and the boyfriend blazer are so glam-rock, particulary when it is paired with alluring aesthetic, which I like ; ).
And, the gown is really well-put with the black leather jacket.
All of these styles remind me of The City, the latest Whitney Port's MTV show.

Go Miley !

I have been listening to Miley Cyrus' latest song, The Climb.
Honestly, I'm not her big fans, but her songs are catchy tho.
Pay attention to the lyrics.
I would say it is the best Miley's song so far.
